A confidante, counselor, friend, and at times the only one who understands. Our families are a reflection of the past and so many, many memories that will last forever. . . .

PREFACE

  Laughter makes the heart glad. It is like medicine. The Bible says so in Proverbs, Chapter 17 and Verse 22. We need to laugh and laugh often.

The suggestion of our oldest sister, Ethel, to compile a family book of stories sounded good. Due to an illness in the family, work on the book had to be delayed.

Enthusiastic responses were expressed when the idea for the book was presented again. Escalated interest started ideas, memories, and stories trickling in. Contributions to the book are much appreciated. We hope our efforts will lighten your spirit and help reflect back on the good times and the fun times in our lives. The intent of the book is to help you appreciate your heritage. May the memories gladden your heart.
